Inspiration For Haiku
Morning Moon Glow.
I was working outside in my new desert garden about an hour after sunrise. It was already hot here, after all it was a July morning in Arizona. I like to get my outside chores done early and get back inside to the AC by about 6:30 AM.
I’m not even sure why I looked up. But there she was, a beautiful glowing early morning moon. There where just a few hazy misty clouds hanging around. Not the large cumulonimbus mashed-potato clouds you sometimes see at sunrise in the Sonoran Desert. I was surprised to see her there, so luminous, even though she was clearly glowing in broad daylight.
I happened to have my camera ready because I was prepared to continue working on a hummingbird video project.
Her haunting beauty inspired this haiku.
Early Morning Desert Moon
Moon so loved the sky,
She would not give up the night.
Morning, still moon glow.
