Blood Moon, Harvest Moon

Inspiration For Haiku

A rare and beautiful even that I was fortunate to be able to see with clear skies. When the moon first started to rise here in the Surprise Arizona area, it was already half way through the eclipse. I also had neighbor’s houses and trees to contend with but by the time the eclipse was full, I was able to take several shots of the Blood Moon. It was very still outside as if the entire world stood still to look up at the moon.

Blood Moon, Harvest Moon

Blood Moon, Harvest Moon, red shade.

Makes all look upward.

Beauty for all to behold.

    Deborah,

I was driving home at about 8:15 PM that night and I saw a huge moon, not red yet. I couldn’t get over how huge the moon was. But then I was home and I forgot to check again. The red moon didn’t appear until many hours later. So I had to rely upon the images that other people shared to actually see it.

    Warmly,

    Erica

Yes, Erica, we had quite a treat! It was a Supermoon (which means it was very close to the earth), and then we had the eclipse and the Bloodmoon (the red color). The world was so quiet during the eclipse. I saw a couple of jets going by and I wondered what their view of the Bloodmoon was like! It must have been amazing!
