Inspiration For Haiku
“August Storm Clouds Rising” was inspired by Monsoon Clouds building in the distance. I live in the Sonoran Desert and I love the cloud formations at this time of year — especially at sunrise and sunset. This was towards sunset, a little after 7PM. I was walking past my dining room window when I saw these clouds, vividly colored by the setting sun. I ran outside and found that shrubs and a block wall were interfering with the shot I wanted. Knowing that the sun sets very quickly, I made the decision to climb on top of one of the wall surrounding my patio so I could get a better view. It worked, don’t you think?
